Frequently Asked Questions

What is DTF transfer?

DTF (direct transfer to film) transfer is a process where you print a pattern onto a special film, coat it with DTF bonding powder, and then use a heat press to transfer it to various fabrics. It supports almost all fabrics, such as cotton, nylon, leather, denim, silk, canvas, polyester, and blends.

What do you need for DTF printing?

You need: DTF printer DTF film DTF ink DTF powder Heat press RIP printing software

Is DTF printing the same as UV DTF printing?

No. DTF printing works on various fabrics, while UV DTF printing uses UV-curable inks to create patterns for hard surfaces such as glass, metal, tile, or plastic.

Is DTF printing better than sublimation printing?

Depends on your needs. DTF works on a wider range of fabrics (including dark colors and cotton materials) and is generally more versatile. Sublimation, on the other hand, is limited to polyester or coated surfaces and can only print light colors, but has excellent vividness and durability on these surfaces.
